Strictly Come Dancing star Dan Walker has shared the painful moment he ran into a glass door, leading him to have a brain examine.
The dance show quarter-finalist was sent to A&E after whacking his head on a glass window to check for a bleed on the brain.
Dan ran into the door as he checked into a hotel and realised he’d left his wallet in the taxi.

When he attempted to chase the driver he ran into a glass door which he thought was open.
He was left with a ‘cartoon bump’ on the head and burst lip but thankfully it wasn’t as serious as it looked – and he got his wallet back.
BBC Breakfast great number Dan shared CCTV footage of the accident back in September on Instagram as he recalled how his Strictly journey with dance Nadiya Bychkova almost ended before they had already taken to the dancefloor together.
He wrote: “I’ve got some amazing memories from Strictly but I’ll never forget that it nearly ended before it already began!
“This was the incident which led a brain examine back in September! Staff at the hotel and A&E were great and I was ok to return to training after a three day break.
“I’d left my wallet in the taxi but completely ignored the enormous glass panel in the way while I was running outside before the car drove off.
“There was an immediate cartoon bump and blood where my teeth burst my lips but thankfully it wasn’t as serious as it looked.”
He additional: “I had the examine and was told to rest.
“@nadiyabychkova was lovely & came with me to A&E but had to hide in the car park for hours because we hadn’t been announced on the set afloat show at this point.
“Feels like a lifetime ago. Thank you NHS.
“P.S. I got the wallet back.”
Dan, who was deleted from the show in the quarter finals, bravely penned at the time about his drama: “Bit of head-based drama today! After whacking my noggin on the big glass window yesterday I got sent to A & E today because I was feeling a little wobbly.
“A lovely nurse at Barnet Hospital called Karina checked my vitals and 6ft 9 Consultant Erik Witt gave me a CT examine to check for a bleed on the brain. Thankfully… all ok.
“I’ve got to rest for a associate of days – so I’ll be a bit behind – but ready to dig in again next week.

And after the accident he said: “I’ve done something completely stupid. I left my wallet in the taxi as I checked into a hotel.
” I ran back out to chase the driver and ran straight into a giant glass door which I thought was open.
“complete deck on the floor, gasps in the restaurant… lump on the head. Thankfully… I nevertheless remember the routine.
“I got the wallet back as the driver had stopped for a fag around the corner.”
