A new streaming TV from Sky is obtainable to buy in the UK today (October 18).
Sky Glass is a brand new TV that doesn’t require a satellite dish or a box, relying only via broadband.
The media company revealed their new product to the public at a set afloat event in London on October 7.
Dana Strong, Group Chief Executive of Sky, has suggested the new Sky Glass will transform living rooms across the country.
Sky say the new TV will open the company up to over two million people in the UK and over six million across Europe.
Sky Glass doesn’t work work via TV cables or satellite dishes, instead it comes with a single strength cable and runs via WiFi meaning everything is already encased in the TV.
The streaming service is described as ‘an entertainment platform’ that is the only TV in the world with Sky inside powered by WiFi.
Sky Glass comes in three sizes ranging from 43 inch to 65 inch and comes in five colours to choose from – white, pink, green, blue and black.

Sky says the TV is affordable and will not include Sky logos so that it fits in with any home.
Magnetised facias average the TV can be customised to fit colour schemes.
Sky also plans to move to a subscription form for Sky Glass, meaning it can be bought from £13 per month, plus £26 a month for Sky Ultimate TV (which includes Netflix).
The TVs will nevertheless be obtainable to buy outright from £849.
Sky has confirmed Glass will be obtainable for broadband customers of Sky or any other broadband provider but says minimum broadband speeds of 10mbps will be required to avoid buffering or loss in picture quality.
While it is the only TV with Sky inside, content is also obtainable from the BBC iPlayer, Amazon, Netflix, Disney+, ITV center and All4.
