Don Imus was an American radio personality best known for his show Imus in the Morning.

The radio show aired on several stations and digital platforms across the country until March 29, 2018. He worked for a number of broadcasting companies, including WNBC, WFAN, and CBS Radio.

Don received four Marconi Awards (1990, 1992, 1197, and 1994). Time magazine named him one of the 25 Most Influential People in America on April 21, 1997. Similarly, he was inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame in 1989. In 2002, Talkers magazine named him one of the top 25 radio talk show hosts of all time.

 On 27 December 2019, he died due to lung disease complications.

Don Imus married twice in his life and had six children in total.

Around 1969, he married Harriet Showalter. Despite the fact that they had two children, Ashley and Elizabeth, they divorced in 1979. On December 17, 1994, he married Diedre Coleman. She was a painter, author, and radio great number. She gave birth to their son, Frederick Wyatt, on July 3, 1998.

Imus died in 2019, leaving him estranged from his wife.

Don legally adopted three more children, Nadine and Toni, from his first wife’s past marriage, and Zach was his sixth child, whom he adopted in the 2010s.

His parents were John Donald Imus and Frances E. Imus, in addition to his wife and children.

He came from a wealthy family that owned The Willows, a 35-thousand-acre ranch near Kingman, Arizona. He was said to have Welsh, English, Polish, and Jewish ancestors. His father died when he was 20 years old.

Imus, however, had a younger brother named Frederic Moore Imus. He was born on 11 January 1942 and died peacefully in his sleep on 6 August 2011. He was an American radio talk show great number who graduated from Kent State University and served in the 101st Airborne Division of the United States Army.

His children and other family members have a private life that is separate from social media. As a consequence, there isn’t much information about them, such as their ages or partners.

He raised millions of dollars for cancer patients and the siblings of victims of sudden infant death syndrome.
