Anthony Martial has agreed to join Sevilla on loan but Manchester United are nevertheless not happy with the Spanish side’s offer, while two European giants have also declared interest in the striker.

The Frenchman is keen to leave Old Trafford in the January move window having fallen down the pecking order in recent seasons, with his opportunities remaining limited under new interim boss Ralf Rangnick.

Martial has started just two Premier League games so far this season, and has played just 359 minutes in total across all competitions, scoring one lone goal.

Rangnick confirmed at the end of last month that Martial has asked to leave the club, though United had in addition to receive any official offers at that time.

Since then Sevilla have enquired about taking the 26-year-old on loan, though there were question marks over Martial’s willingness to join the Spanish side while they were not prepared to pay a loan fee or take on the striker’s complete salary.

Now French TV stop Telefoot report that Martial has spoken to Sevilla boss Julen Lopetegui about moving to La Liga and has given his OK to join the club.

However, despite Martial agreeing to the move, United are nevertheless stalling over the deal because Sevilla do not want to pay a loan fee and are continuing to request that the Red Devils continue paying a portion of the forward’s salary.

Sevilla’s unwillingness to stump up any cash to sign Martial on loan has opened the door for other clubs to try and sign him, with Juventus and Barcelona both registering their interest in recent days.

Martial would prefer to join one of the two European giants, who have both opened talks with United and made contact with the Frenchman’s agent.

At the moment, however, neither club has made an official offer and there are some doubts over whether they could provide to offer more than Sevilla, particularly with Barca struggling financially and unable to register new signing Ferran Torres until they have got other players off their books.

Martial is believed to earn around £180,000-a-week and United want his salary covered in complete in addition to a meaningful loan fee.
